Everyone knows Orange County is the place to find all the popular beaches, but you might not know they have more than just taking in some sun on one of the beautiful beaches. You can go to different areas of Orange County for different types of recreational things to do.

Newport Beach is the place to start your whale watching experience. You can take daily tours and cruise far out on the waters to sit and watch for the whales. This is when the whales are the most active and seem to come out of the water to greet the guests. Fishing from Newport Beach is also popular. They have charters available by reservation. For dolphin watching, you will start in Dana Point. The boat takes you to the deeper waters where the whales and the dolphins are located. You can stay in the cockpit and remain dry, or try getting up close with the tram net. The boat also has an underwater camera, which allows spectators to see the whales and dolphins underwater activities. This one recreational activity fascinates the entire family.
